2024 WAHA HP14 (2010) Tryout at the Ice Hawk Arena in Stevens Point, WI on March 22-24 2024
HP15 (2009) Tryout at the Waupaca Expo Center in Waupaca, Wi on March 22-24
Tryout Registration opens Sunday January 28th and closes Wednesday February 28th.
Player check-in times for both birth-years on March 22nd will be posted on the WAHA homepage www.wahahockey.com on or before Thursday March 17th.
Special skill sessions may be part of both birth-year tryouts. The 2010s will have 3-4 scrimmage games while the 2009's will have 3 scrimmage games followed by an All Star game.
- Participants must be registered with USA Hockey for the 2023-24 season. If not, click HERE to register.
- Player names and check-in group times for both HP Tryouts will be posted on the WAHA home page on or before Sunday March 17th
- Skater Tryout fee ($165) is for defenseman and forwards and $140 for the selected goalies from the Pre-Goalie tryouts.
- Use debit card, credit card or a gift card to register for the tryout.
- NO REFUNDS, NO WALK-INS. NO CASH OR CHECKS ACCEPTED. IF A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD IS NOT POSSIBLE, PLEASE USE A VISA GIFT CARD TO REGISTER ONLINE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Skater registration numbers for each tryout location are limited at position (Goalie, Defense & Forwards), therefore the total number of players in each tryout are limited. No exceptions.
- Skaters must try-out for the position they registered for - No exceptions.
- Registered players (G, D & F) who register for these tryouts are not allowed to switch their playing position at check-in.
Players that are selected for this camp will be posted on the www.centraldistricthockey.org (homepage). Player families will be able to click their player’s name and pay their camp fee online ($850) to hold their spot in the camp. No further steps after this camp concludes.
Approximately 20 players from Wisconsin at birth-year 2009 (2G, 7D, 11F) will be selected directly from the WAHA HP 15 (2009) Skater Tryout at Waupaca to compete against other players from IL, IA, MO, KS and NE at the Central District High Performance 15 (2009) Tryout on May 10-12 at Iowa to be selected to the USA Hockey National Player Development Select 15 Camp. USAH National Select 15 Camp dates and location will be posted on the front page when available.
A list of WAHA players moving on to the Central District HP 15 Festival will be posted at www.centraldistricthockey.org after the tryout is over where player families will be able to click their player’s name and pay their next tryout fee ($185) online to hold their spot in the Central District HP 15 May 10-12 Festival. All further instructions, hotel details and tryout report times for this tryout will also be posted at www.centraldistricthockey.org. The weekend tryout schedule will be posted after player check-in at the tryout site on May 10th.
Players that ultimately selected from the Central District HP 15 Festival to attend the USA Hockey National Player Development Select 15 Camp will be posted at www.centraldistricthockey.org and USA Hockey will handle all communications going forward.
