High Performance 14, 15 Tryouts

Format:

When the tryout registration closes WAHA will list player check-in times on the WAHA website around March 17.

The schedule below for March 24-25 is the same for both birth-years 2004 and 2003 tryouts:
2004 tryouts will be at Willet Ice Arena in Stevens Point
2003 tryouts will be at the Ice Hawk Arena in Stevens Point

No events on Friday evening.

Saturday morning begins with a Skill Session at 8:00 am.

2004 teams will play 4 games 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday. No All-Star game.

2003 teams will play a round robin with 2 games on Saturday and 1 game on Sunday which will end the regular tryouts.

Evaluators will post the final 34 players on Sunday who will compete in a All Star Game. Each team will have a 2 goalies, 6 defensemen and 9 forwards or 17 players.

After a rest break the All Star Game begins Sunday afternoon.

The selected players from each All Star Game that will moving on to the USAH Central District will be posted on the WAHA website as follows:

2004 - Select 14 31 players ( 4 goalies, 11 Defense-men and 16 forwards ) will be selected to attend the USA Hockey Central District 14 High Performance Camp to be held June 17-22, 2018 at Iowa State University in Ames Iowa. Wisconsin players will join players from IL, MO, IA, KS & NE to compete to go on to USA Hockey National Camp.

2003 - Select 15 20 players ( 2 goalies, 7 Defense-men and 11 Forwards ) will be selected to attend the USA Hockey Central District 15, 16 and 17 High Performance Festival at Cedar Rapids Iowa Ice Arena on May 11-13, 2018. Wisconsin players will join players from IL, MO, IA, KS and NE to compete for a roster spot at the USAH National Select 15 Camp to be held on July 15-20 at Amherst, NY.

NOTE: If you sign up as a FORWARD you'll be evaluated as a FORWARD. If you are DEFENSE and there is no longer any opening for DEFENSE and you register as a FORWARD, you will be judged as an FORWARD.
